Uses
For the material to be crushed and then crushed, the ball mill grinder is the key equipment. Cement, silicate products, new building materials, refractory materials, fertilizers, ferrous and non-ferrous metal beneficiation, glass ceramics and other production industries use it for dry or wet grinding of various ores and other grindable materials. Various ores and other materials can be ground in ball mills. They are used widely in the mineral processing, building materials, and chemical industries. Dry grinding and wet grinding are the two major types. They can be divided into two categories based on how they discharge: lattice type and overflow type.

On both sides of the cylinder body are end caps with hollow journals, and the journals of the end caps are supported on bearings. The appearance of the ball mill grinder is a lying long cylinder. The cylinder is filled with grinding media, such as steel balls, ceramic balls, etc. There should be a reasonable distribution of large and small balls in the cylinder, and the amount of balls loaded should be 40-50% of the effective volume.
Working Principle
A hollow shaft at the feed end of the ball mill grinder loads material into the barrel when working. As the ball mill barrel rotates, the grinding body is attached to the barrel liner and taken away by the barrel as a result of inertia, centrifugal force, and friction. As it is brought up to a certain height, it is thrown down by its own gravity, and the falling grinding body crushes the material in the cylinder just like a projectile. Through the feeding hollow shaft, the material enters the first chamber of the ball mill uniformly and spirally.
The chamber is lined with a stepped or corrugated lining plate, and steel balls of different specifications are installed inside. A rotation of the cylinder generates centrifugal force, which lifts the steel balls. The steel balls fall, pound, and grind the material. As soon as the material reaches the rough grinding in the first warehouse, it enters the second warehouse through a single-layer partition board. The warehouse is lined with a flat plate and has steel balls to grind the material further. In order to complete the grinding process, the powder is discharged through the discharge grate.

By enlarging the diameter of the hollow shaft of the ball mill’s rolling bearing, the radial distance between the bearing and the feeding and discharging screw cylinder is increased, which contributes to heat insulation and cooling, thus prolonging the bearing’s service life.
